The power grid is changing faster than the software running it. Renewables are flooding supply, prices swing wildly, and millions of EV batteries sit idle on driveways every night, completely disconnected from the markets that need them most. Enkel is the platform that closes that gap.


We integrate directly with energy markets and connect distributed EV assets to the grid - turning idle batteries into a network. For consumers, that means lower bills and earnings from their car. For grid operators, it means distributed flexibility at scale, without building a single new power plant.

We are a team with deep roots in energy markets, software, engineering and mathematics. Based in Copenhagen, we are building the connection between consumers and the grid: a layer that every stakeholder in the energy transition needs.


We are looking for a Head of Finance to own the function - the books, the budget, the board reporting - and the operational machinery that keeps a fast-growing company running.


This is a senior individual-contributor role by design. You will personally run the finance function end to end, with full ownership of both the day-to-day execution and how the function is built. There is no finance team to manage at this stage.


What you will do

  • Own books, end to end: daily accounting, monthly close, moms, payroll, and the annual report with our auditor
  • Build and own the company budget, rolling cash-flow forecast, and runway model - the numbers the whole company steers by
  • Build and implement the systems and controls required
  • Manage and reconcile complex financial flows across consumer billing, energy settlement and payments


What you bring

  • You have owned a full monthly close without a support team and are comfortable preparing annual reports
  • You have worked with complex, high-volume transaction data, ideally within energy settlement, consumer billing, payments, utilities, or a similar environment
  • A firm grasp of Danish accounting, taxes and payroll; IFRS knowledge preferred
  • Ability to build budgets, forecasts and scenario analyses
