Business Process and Implementation Co-op
Role Purpose:
The Business Process & Implementation Co-op Student will gain hands-on experience supporting customer implementation and business improvement projects within DP World’s Freight Forwarding business. You will help deliver customer implementations, document and improve business processes, support vendor onboarding, and develop reusable AI-enabled workflow resources.
As part of a global logistics organization, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and build practical experience in enterprise logistics, project coordination and continuous improvement. Your work will contribute to making customer implementations more consistent, scalable and efficient.
This is a 4-month Co-op opportunity for the Fall 2026 term starting in September.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and maintenance of Customer Standard Operating Procedures (CSOPs) for new and existing customer implementations.
- Assist with customer implementation projects under the direction of the Implementation Administrator.
- Document business processes and identify opportunities for standardization and continuous improvement.
- Support the development of a reusable AI Workflow Library for implementation, documentation, and onboarding activities.
- Assist with vendor onboarding initiatives, including Supplier Master reconciliation and documentation.
- Prepare implementation documentation, process maps, workflow guides, and knowledge articles.
- Analyze implementation data and prepare reports to support project tracking and decision-making.
- Coordinate with Commercial, Finance, Operations, and Master Data teams to gather implementation requirements.
- Maintain implementation trackers and ensure project documentation remains accurate and current.
- Participate in meetings, capture action items, and follow through on assigned project deliverables.
- Support testing, validation, and quality assurance of implementation processes and documentation.
- Present project findings, recommendations, and completed deliverables at the conclusion of the co-op term.
Knowledge & Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Eligible to participate in a recognized co-op program.
- Previous work experience is not required. Experience through academic projects, internships, student organizations, research, or volunteer work involving business analysis, documentation, project coordination, logistics, data analysis, or process improvement is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to learn new business systems quickly.
- Interest in business process improvement and operational excellence.
- Familiarity with process mapping or workflow documentation is an asset.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot, with an interest in applying them to improve business processes.
- Comfortable working with structured data, documentation, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrates initiative, curiosity, adaptability, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling business information.
