Job Description:

The Role and Impact
Join our team as a Module Engineer, where you will play an essential role in enabling large-scale production of advanced integrated circuits. You will own critical high-volume manufacturing equipment and processes, driving device miniaturization while ensuring precision, quality, and efficiency. Your contributions will directly impact Intel's ability to innovate and maintain its leadership in semiconductor manufacturing, providing opportunities for hands-on technical growth and meaningful contributions to cutting-edge production processes.

Business Group
This role is part of Intel's Assembly and Test Manufacturing (ATM) division, a critical element of Intel's IDM 2.0 strategy. ATM supports Intel's diverse portfolio, ranging from automotive to server products, by delivering advanced packaging and testing solutions. The team focuses on enhancing Intel's product competitiveness while supporting global manufacturing initiatives and shaping the future of semiconductor production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and optimize high-volume manufacturing equipment and processes to ensure precision and quality across production lines.
  • Conduct tests and measurements to control critical dimensions and reduce defectivity within the manufacturing process.
  • Recommend and implement process modifications to improve operational efficiency, safety, and cost-performance.
  • Expand high-volume manufacturing capacity to demonstrate technology scalability and facilitate global process transfers.
  • Execute equipment maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and yield goals.
  • Develop excursion prevention systems and detect discrepant materials or activities affecting equipment and processes.
  • Lead equipment installation, conversion, and qualification during factory ramps to ensure safe operations and adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to optimize process development aligned with high-volume production nodes.
  • Facilitate technology transfer to other manufacturing sites through training, auditing, and ensuring consistent processing practices.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field with 0-1 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing processes, demonstrated through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training.
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data-driven problem-solving methods.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment management, maintenance, and improvement processes.
  • Technical skills in mechanical design, electrical circuitry, and familiarity with software tools such as Python, SQL Pathfinder or JMP.
  • Ability to work effectively in dynamic, high-pressure environments with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across teams, engineering groups, and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with semiconductor assembly equipment and processes.
  • Knowledge of design of experiments (DOE) principles and failure modes/effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on improving defectivity and process yield.
  • Experience in scripting tools such as Power BI or SQL Pathfinder is an added advantage.
  • Flexibility to handle multi-task operations and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to lead own activities and contribute to larger team initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience in test engineering or product development services is a plus.

Explore the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in advancing technology and improving performance excellence in semiconductor manufacturing. Take the next step in your career by joining Intel's innovative team and contributing to groundbreaking solutions.
