Job Summary

Global Equities is part of the Investment Bank and offers solutions that include trade execution, program and special equity trading services; equity-linked services and structuring for new equity-linked issuances; marketing, structuring and trading services on equity-based or fund-based derivatives products; and a wide range of research, sales, execution, clearing, financing and reporting services.

The Delta One desk is part of the Equity Derivatives Group and focuses on non-volatility products. The desk transacts on behalf of customers and the firm’s account in products including swaps, ETFs, and equity/index futures, spanning APAC and global indices, and offering short to long maturities on OTC and listed activity. The role is based in GIFT City (IFSC) and operates in alignment with applicable IFSCA regulatory and market requirements, while coordinating with broader APAC trading hubs and global partners.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Develop and enhance trading strategies through statistical analysis, signal research, and systematic modelling.
  • Expand electronic market making and execution capabilities across Delta One products within the IFSC operating environment.
  • Drive the Tech and Quant agenda required to scale systematic trading, pricing, and risk management.
  • Build and maintain tools to improve research, trading, monitoring, and post-trade analytics.
  • Manage intraday risk, hedging, and position optimization across swaps, ETFs, and futures, in coordination with regional desks as needed.
  • Partner with Sales, Structuring, Operations, and Controls to deliver client outcomes and ensure robust front-to-back processes.
  • Support regulatory, surveillance, and governance expectations relevant to GIFT City (IFSC), including appropriate documentation and controls.

 

Required Qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Delta 1 Trading (or other relevant experience) 
  • Experience in dealing with IDB (Inter-dealer brokers) 
  • Experience with pricing / market making / research of dividends  
  • Deep understanding of statistics and equity markets 
  • Strong equity market-making background and proven track record in systematic trading 
  • The ability to refine and enhance our execution platform 
  • Good computing skills (R, Python, Java or C#) 

 

Preferred Qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics/statistics, economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Experience covering India market preferred but experience in other APAC markets (e.g. Hong Kong, Korea, Japan) and/or global index-linked Delta One flows will also be considered.
  • Familiarity with operating in a regulated trading environment with strong risk, controls, and governance expectations.
  • Experience collaborating across time zones with regional/global trading and technology teams.
