Who we are

Oliver Wyman is a global management consulting firm. We work with clients through their most defining moments, combining deep industry knowledge, specialized expertise, and the power of perspective to help them adapt, grow, and thrive.

We believe diverse perspectives make the work stronger. Our consultants bring different backgrounds, experiences, and ways of thinking to help solve complex problems and create lasting impact for clients, colleagues, and communities.

At Oliver Wyman, we are proud of the values that we aspire to live by. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential.

Quotient — AI by Oliver Wyman brings together deep industry insight, strategic advisory, and hands-on AI delivery to help organizations move from proof to production and from production to enterprise value.

The role

WAVE is a newly created team within Quotient. It exists to accelerate AI-enabled business development and help our teams move faster, think differently, and build with reuse in mind.

As Technical Business Partner, you will be WAVE’s technical lead and translation point. You will sit at the intersection of consulting and engineering, shaping business needs into technical direction, helping the team prioritise the right work, and turning one-off efforts into reusable assets, platforms, and solutions. This is a senior role for someone who is equally comfortable discussing technical architecture, AI delivery, and commercial opportunity.

What you will do

You will turn incoming demand into technically sound, commercially relevant outputs that strengthen our go-to-market efforts across Banking & Financial Services in Europe and across practices in Iberia, the UK, and South East Europe.

You will:

  • Translate consulting needs into clear technical solution designs that the engineering team can execute.
  • Shape technical direction from the outset, ensuring ideas are feasible, scalable, and aligned with the business problem.
  • Orchestrate engineers across the backlog, deciding who works on what and when to keep work moving and protect time-to-money.
  • Work closely with the Business Analyst to convert incoming demand into the right mix of prioritised work, technical design, and delivery action.
  • Recommend infrastructure set-up and go-to-market angles for business development opportunities.
  • Identify what should become a reusable asset, platform, or product, and help drive that transition in collaboration with delivery teams and external partners.
  • Join client and partner discussions where technical credibility needs to be demonstrated and technical options need to be explained clearly.
  • Help ensure WAVE’s work is not just delivered, but packaged in a way that can be reused, scaled, and sold again.
  • Keep a practical view of the trade-offs between speed, quality, reuse, and commercial value.

How you will be measured

Our success is simple to state: demand for our work should outgrow our capacity. You’ll know you are succeeding when partners trust WAVE to help shape technically credible proposals, when engineers are focused on the right work at the right time, and when more of what the team builds becomes reusable, scalable, and commercially useful.

Why join us?

You can be your best here. At Oliver Wyman, you will find meaningful work, talented people, and a culture built on trust, support, and growth.

Create solutions that have impact

  • Work on AI-enabled, pre-client work that helps our teams win work, strengthen proposals, and create reusable capabilities with real business value.
  • Shape technical solutions that help partners bring stronger AI angles to traditional scopes and more ambition to client conversations.
  • Be part of a team where success is measured not only by delivery, but by whether the work can be reused, scaled, and built on.

Develop as a leader

  • Take ownership from day one in a role that sits at the centre of WAVE’s technical direction.
  • Build credibility by helping commercial and technical stakeholders align around priorities, trade-offs, and next steps.
  • Lead through technical judgement, clear communication, and a practical approach to execution.

Learn without limits

  • Build a rare mix of consulting judgement, AI delivery depth, and product-minded technical thinking.

  • Work closely with colleagues across Quotient and the wider firm, learning from both business and technical perspectives.
  • Deepen your understanding of how to turn modern AI capabilities into solutions that are realistic, scalable, and reusable.

Thrive in a vibrant and inclusive culture

  • Work as part of a collaborative team that values different perspectives and practical problem solving.

  • Help shape how a new team grows, in a culture where people are encouraged to speak up, share ideas, and move quickly together.
  • Join an environment that supports inclusion, teamwork, and mutual respect.

Experience rewards that work for you

  • Enjoy a role designed for learning, visibility, and growth inside a newly created team.

  • Be part of a pilot that is built to scale, giving you exposure to how a new capability is shaped from the ground up.
  • Work in a way that supports performance, development, and sustainability.

Who can apply?

We are looking for someone who genuinely spans both worlds: technically strong enough to earn the respect of engineers, and commercially sharp enough to shape a proposal and influence stakeholders. The right person will be comfortable moving between client conversations, solution design, and engineering prioritisation, and will know how to turn complexity into a clear plan.

This role is well suited to someone who wants to work at the intersection of consulting, AI, software delivery, and asset creation.

Required qualifications

  • Senior-level experience spanning both business and technical delivery, ideally in a role that combines consulting, solution design, and engineering coordination.
  • Track record of translating ambiguous business problems into deployed technical solutions.
  • Experience orchestrating or leading technical teams in a fast-moving, high-variety environment.
  • Strong grasp of modern AI, including agents and LLM applications, and of what it takes to make solutions scalable and reusable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive audiences and engineering teams.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to connect technical choices to business value.
  • Full professional English.
  • Spanish strongly preferred.

Preferred qualifications

  • Consulting background combined with hands-on technical delivery experience.
  • Familiarity with productization and asset-based or as-a-service commercial models.
  • Experience working with reusable assets, platforms, or accelerators.
  • Experience supporting go-to-market or business development activity through technical solutioning.

How to apply

Please submit your CV and cover letter. If shortlisted, you will be invited to meet members of the WAVE team and discuss your experience, motivation, and approach to the role.
