The Recruitment Specialist serves as a front-line representative of Texas A&M University–Central Texas (TAMUCT) and supports the University’s strategic enrollment initiatives from the East Williamson County Higher Education Center Office in Hutto, Texas. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and sustaining partnerships that expand access to TAMUCT throughout East Williamson County and neighboring regions.
Key responsibilities include cultivating relationships with Independent School Districts (ISDs), Early College High Schools (ECHS), and community colleges to create strong recruitment pathways. The incumbent will lead and participate in recruitment events, manage communications with prospective students, and support the admissions process from initial inquiry through to enrollment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and manage relationships with ISDs, ECHS programs, community colleges, and community-based organizations to strengthen recruitment pipelines in East Williamson County and nearby areas.
Serve as the primary liaison for assigned regional partners and promote transfer and first-year student opportunities through coordinated outreach.
Conduct regular visits, presentations, and on-site engagements in Hutto and the surrounding area to increase awareness of TAMUCT programs.
Collaborate with educational partners to coordinate joint initiatives, articulation pathways, and on-site application events.
Plan, coordinate, and participate in recruitment events including college fairs, information sessions, campus previews, and community outreach events within the assigned region.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategic event representation aligned with enrollment goals.
Oversee logistical planning, setup, and follow-up for all assigned events, ensuring professional representation and accurate data collection.
Work collaboratively with marketing and admissions teams to support targeted campaigns that enhance institutional visibility.
Manage prospective student communications using the university’s CRM system to provide timely, personalized follow-up.
Counsel prospective students on admissions requirements, academic programs, financial aid, and next steps to support their transition from inquiry to applicant and admitted student.
Monitor conversion metrics and adjust outreach strategies based on data within assigned territories.
Analyze data collected from students prior to the start of recruitment season and apply learnings to recruitment efforts.
Prepare regular reports summarizing outreach activities, events, and progress toward enrollment goals.
Share insights and best practices with the recruitment team to support continuous improvement.
Participate in divisional meetings, staff training, and professional development opportunities.
Support other institutional initiatives and duties as assigned by the Assistant Director or Director of Recruitment & Enrollment Services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Knowledge of admissions functions of higher education.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of related recruitment or admissions experience.
Salary: $43,888
Hours: Monday - Friday; 8am to 5pm; night and weekends as needed.
Supervision of Others: This position does not supervise employees.
Work Location: This position is based at the East Williamson County Higher Education Center Office in Hutto, Texas. Frequent travel may be required for meetings and/or training. This is not a remote position. The selected candidate will be required to work on campus.
