As Senior Manager, Strategic Planning, you will lead the change management strategy for one of American Express' highest-priority enterprise transformation programs. You will be responsible for developing and executing the change management roadmap, ensuring customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders are prepared for upcoming changes. Working across Product, Technology, Marketing, Sales, Compliance, Finance, GCO, and Operations, you will drive communication strategies, stakeholder alignment, governance, and organizational readiness to support successful delivery of the Oculus program.

  • Lead the development, execution, and continuous refinement of the enterprise change management strategy, roadmap, and implementation plan for the Oculus transformation program.

  • Own change management governance, ensuring milestones, dependencies, risks, and readiness activities are effectively managed across multiple workstreams.

  • Develop integrated communication strategies for customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely, consistent, and impactful messaging throughout the program lifecycle.

  • Partner closely with Product, Technology, Marketing, Sales, Compliance, Finance, GCO, and other stakeholders to assess downstream impacts, coordinate change activities, and drive execution.

  • Build executive presentations, communications, and decision materials that provide visibility into program progress, risks, and key decisions.

  • Lead stakeholder engagement by identifying impacted audiences, defining communication and enablement needs, and driving organizational readiness.

  • Foster strong partnerships across American Express, AENB, regulators, and external partners to support successful program execution.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise change management initiatives supporting large-scale transformation programs. 
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and executive presentation skills. 
  • Strong program governance, organizational planning, and risk management capabilities. 
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.  
  • Bachelor's degree required. 

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to develop and execute communication strategies across executive, field, customer, and cross-functional audiences. 
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment without direct authority. 
  • Ability to simplify complex business and technology changes into clear, actionable communications.
