Job Description Summary
About the RoleWorking on the GE Haliade-X platform—the industry’s most advanced 14MW offshore wind turbine—the AT Team Lead plays a critical role in operating and maintaining next-generation assets for the world’s largest offshore project. You will bridge the gap between high-level operational strategy and hands-on technical execution, managing both the logistical readiness of our offshore teams and the complex mechanical and electrical challenges of our turbine fleet.

Essential Responsibilities
Leadership & Operational Strategy
- Team Leadership: Exemplify GE Leadership Behaviors (Act with Humility, Lead with Transparency, Deliver with Focus). Provide direct leadership to Technician Leads and Technicians, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Lean Excellence: Champion the GE Lean program, introducing and implementing Lean principles to drive efficiency, issue resolution, and process quality improvements.
- Operational Coordination: Manage the full scope of task execution, from part/tool preparation and work-party deployment to reporting on turbine status and project KPIs.
- Shift Point of Contact: Serve as the primary site lead for day-to-day operational and logistical matters for the site teams.
- Talent Development: Support recruitment and the technician development model to advance competency levels and retain high-quality knowledge.
Technical & Maintenance Execution
- Complex Troubleshooting: Perform and oversee maintenance, repair, and replacement of parts on the WTG. Be the site support for troubleshooting complex SW, electrical, and mechanical malfunctions.
- Diagnostic Analysis: Lead diagnostic electrical analysis and ensure work is documented accurately using computer-based service reporting procedures.
- Resource Management: Have inputs on Resource management and how to develop teams and training according to the site specific programs.
- Site Logistics: Coordinate the safe onboarding/offboarding of technicians and equipment, manifesting movements to align with customer requirements.
Safety & Compliance
- Safety Excellence: Demonstrate and enforce high safety standards, ensuring all working parties comply with Emergency Response Plans and local/GE policies.
- Risk Management: Monitor site conditions and weather-based allowable working limits to ensure the successful completion of maintenance in a safe manner.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Professional Experience
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Wind Technician.
- Troubleshooting: Minimum 3 years of work experience in troubleshooting (hydraulic, electrical, and power tools).
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading field teams and coordinating cross-functional, remote teams.
- Skills: High capability with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Eligibility & Physical Requirements
- Physical Standards: Ability to handle repetitive weight of 50 lbs and climb towers up to 300 feet daily. Must meet manufacturer weight limits (not to exceed 300 lbs, including all required gear).
- Flexibility: Valid driver’s license; must be flexible to work rotating shift schedules and be on-call per site needs.
- Work Environment: Ability and willingness to work in diverse environments, including offshore vessels, industrial facilities, and manufacturing sites.
- Travel: Role is predominantly based offshore or on the Marthas Vineyard Location. Ability and willingness to travel internationally during periods of training and Kaizen events.
- Communication: Fluency in English (strong oral and written skills).
Please note: This is not a remote position. The work location for this position includes all wind sites within Vineyard Wind. You are expected to work at all sites within this Hub and report to work at any site within this Hub as assigned by your manager.
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the base pay for this position is $55.17- $65.54.
