General Manager, Partner Growth
THE ROLE
- Reporting to the General Manager, Channel Partnerships, the General Manager, Partner Growth is responsiblefor developing new partnerships across The Trade Desk’s ISV, MSP, and VAR businesses. Working within theoverall Channel Partnerships vision and strategy, this leader will build and convert a clear quarterly and annualpipeline of new partnership opportunities, from initial engagement through agreement and launch.
- This is a senior individual contributor and highly external role. The successful candidate will identify prospectivepartners, build executive relationships, develop the commercial strategy for each opportunity, and lead complexdiscussions through close. The role will work closely with Business Development and Client Services leadership,using those teams as appropriate to evaluate, launch, and transition new partnerships. As Channel Partnershipsexplores expanding into new portfolio areas, this role will play a key function in those early discussions.
- This is a new role with significant visibility and impact. The right leader will bring a modern SaaS new businessmindset, experience developing partnerships across ISV, MSP, VAR, indirect, or partner-led businesses, and theability to work effectively across Business Development, Client Services, Product, Revenue Operations, Finance,Legal, and partner leadership teams. This is a revenue role and will be goaled against media spend growth. Therole is based in New York City and requires travel of up to 30%.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build the Partnership Pipeline: Develop and manage a clear quarterly and annual pipeline of new ISV, MSP,and VAR partnership opportunities.
- Originate New Business: Identify and engage prospective partners that can expand The Trade Desk’s reachand create meaningful incremental revenue.
- Lead Opportunities Through Close: Own new partnership opportunities from initial engagement throughcommercial agreement, launch, and transition.
- Develop Commercial Strategies: Define the value proposition, commercial approach, executive engagementplan, and path to close for each priority opportunity.
- Build Executive Relationships: Develop trusted relationships with senior leaders at prospective partners andlead external discussions throughout the process.
- Accelerate Pipeline Conversion: Maintain clear milestones, next steps, internal actions, and accountabilityacross active partnership pursuits.
- Partner Across the Organization: Work with Business Development, Client Services, Product, Finance, Legal,and Revenue Operations to advance and launch new partnerships.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 15+ years of experience across SaaS, enterprise technology, platform businesses, businessdevelopment, partnerships, indirect sales, consulting, or related domains.
- Adtech or martech experience is required, with high value placed on bringing a network ofrelationships.
- Significant experience developing and closing partnerships across ISV, MSP, VAR, indirect,marketplace, alliance, or partner-led businesses.
- Proven success building new business pipelines and converting complex partnership opportunitiesinto signed agreements and launched relationships.
- Experience partnering deeply across Business Development, Client Services, Sales Operations, Product,Revenue Operations, Finance, and Legal.
- Demonstrated ability to originate opportunities, develop commercial strategies, negotiateagreements, and lead partnerships through close.
- Strong executive stakeholder management experience, both internally and externally.
- Ability to work through ambiguity and accelerate momentum across commercial cycles.
- Must be based in New York City and willing to travel up to 30%.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- A strong new business mindset and a proven ability to identify, develop, and close new partnerships.
- Experience building and converting a meaningful pipeline across channel, indirect, marketplace, orplatform businesses – e.g., VARs, GSIs, ISVs, MSPs.
- The ability to translate the larger Channel Partnerships vision and strategy into a clear quarterly andannual partnership pipeline.
- Strong grasp of different value creation motions in adtech and the roles of various stakeholders (e.g.,agency, intermediaries, DSPs, SSPs, data providers, etc.).
- A good understanding of the growing ecosystem of AI-first adtech companies and a POV on how aDSP can help them scale.
- Strong commercial judgment paired with disciplined opportunity management to consider valuepropositions, commercial approaches, executive engagement plans, and paths to close.
- A practical, hands-on style to remain directly involved from initial outreach through launch.

In accordance with various US state laws, the range provided is the Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as variable compensation-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range.
