Senior System Administrator, EH&S
Howmet Aerospace Inc.’s Corporate EHS organization has an immediate opening for a Senior System Administrator. This position is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of on-premises and cloud based EHS applications.
Howmet Aerospace uses several applications worldwide to support EHS professionals in their daily work to ensure a safe and healthy workplace that follows our expectations and regulations. These EHS applications facilitate incident reporting, Environmental data collection, Industrial Hygiene data storage as well as task schedules to name a few important functionalities. The system administrator holds a key position in ensuring that these applications are functional and act as the main contact for any questions, issues or suggestions on EHS applications and systems. This position reports to the EHS Systems Manager, is part of a small Corporate EHS team and closely interacts with internal customers at the Corporate, BU and location levels.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Business and Process Analysis:
Discovery and documentation of business requirements through interviews, workshops, and process analysis
Translate business needs into clear functional specifications aligned to system capabilities
Analyze and document current-state and future-state EHS business processes
Systems and Technical Analysis
- Convert business requirements into detailed technical specifications for development and configuration teams.
Analyze system capabilities, data flows, integrations, and dependencies to ensure solution feasibility and scalability
Support Oracle-based systems through data analysis, SQL querying, PL/SQL development
Ensure data accuracy, performance and sustainability across EH&S applications
Collaboration & Delivery
- Maintain clear, organized documentation to support knowledge transfer and long-term system sustainability
- Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Partner with developers, architects, and business users to support successful implementation
Basic Qualifications:
Highschool diploma and Minimum five (5) years of combined experience in business analysis, system analysis, or a similar technical/functional hybrid role
Experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook)
Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
Working knowledge of relational database concepts, data modeling, and SQL performance tuning
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience performing both business analysis and system analysis functions in a technical environment
Experience collaborating with cross functional teams, including developers, architects, QA, and business stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in fast paced or evolving environments
Experience with Oracle databases, including writing and optimizing PL/SQL queries
Experience with Microsoft platforms including: PowerBI for dashboards, analytics and EH&S Reporting, Power Apps, Power Automate and SharePoint
Experience supporting or implementing EH&S systems (Essentials On-Prem/SpheraCloud, Cority, Occupation Health Medicine (OHM), SiteHawk Chemical Mgt System)
Experience coordinating end-to-end project activities, including scope definition, requirements planning, scheduling, and resource alignment

Base salary range: $85,000 - $95,000 (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience and skillset).
