Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy & Execution is responsible for translating commercial strategy into disciplined execution across the global Laboratory Products Group (LPG) commercial organization. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Commercial Finance & Operations, this role leads enterprise portfolio governance, commercial operating model development, and cross-functional execution of strategic initiatives.

Working across commercial, business, and enabling organizations, this individual will strengthen governance, simplify business processes, and establish globally consistent operating practices while balancing appropriate regional flexibility. Through collaboration and business leadership, this role will improve commercial effectiveness and enable scalable capabilities that support long-term growth.

How will you make an impact?

Commercial organizations are rapidly evolving through AI, automation, and digital technologies. This role offers a unique opportunity to help define how LPG's global commercial organization will operate in that future.

Working at the intersection of business strategy, commercial operations, and technology, you will help simplify how work gets done, improve seller productivity, and establish globally consistent commercial capabilities that enhance the customer experience. You will help shape the business processes, operating practices, and digital capabilities that position LPG for the next generation of commercial innovation, automation, and AI-enabled ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Lead governance of LPG's commercial initiative portfolio, ensuring enterprise priorities are aligned with organizational capacity and strategic business objectives.
  • Facilitate prioritization, sequencing, and executive decision-making through structured recommendations, tradeoff analysis, and portfolio visibility.
  • Monitor strategic initiatives to proactively identify execution risks, dependencies, and opportunities to improve delivery.

Commercial Operating Model & Transformation

  • Lead the evolution of LPG's commercial operating model by strengthening governance, simplifying business processes, and improving organizational effectiveness.
  • Establish and govern scalable operating standards and partner with business leaders to improve commercial productivity while balancing enterprise consistency with appropriate regional flexibility.
  • Identify and implement opportunities that leverage process innovation, commercial technology, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve how the commercial organization operates.

Enterprise Leadership & Execution

  • Build strong partnerships across commercial, business, and enabling organizations to successfully execute enterprise commercial initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional governance forums, facilitate executive decision-making, and drive organizational alignment across strategic priorities.
  • Influence stakeholders across the organization by translating business strategy into actionable plans and driving measurable business outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience leading commercial, operational, or strategic initiatives within a global matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives within a global, matrixed organization.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution, influence without authority, and drive organizational alignment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced business degree.
  • Experience supporting global commercial organizations.
  • Experience leading commercial operating model, business transformation, or organizational effectiveness initiatives.
  • Experience with commercial technologies, CRM platforms, process governance, or digital transformation.
  • PPI, Lean, continuous improvement, or change leadership experience.

Who Will Succeed in This Role

They are naturally curious, challenge conventional approaches, and continuously seek opportunities to simplify complexity, improve business performance, and enable innovation. They are equally comfortable facilitating executive discussions, influencing organizational change, and turning strategy into measurable business outcomes.

Success in this role will be measured by stronger commercial governance, simplified business processes, improved execution discipline, and the successful evolution of LPG's commercial operating model to support future growth, digital transformation, and AI-enabled commercial capabilities.
