Job Description

As a Security Officer Licensed Driver Patrol in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Driving Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide professional customer service. You will communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors while contributing to a secure, welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-condition reports, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, process areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or conditions requiring attention.
  • Monitor access control points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain required logs, and direct personnel and vehicles in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately; communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
