This position will be located in Huntsville, Alabama with potential to travel to other Northrop Grumman sites, supplier sites, or customer sites as required.The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual who possesses the ability to successfully engage with program personnel to provide solutions and coach/mentor others in the use of quality principles and practices. They will have excellent oral and written communication, data analysis and problem-solving skills and will have the ability to document, plan and manage projects to lead effectively in a team setting while ensuring quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers are in accordance with contractual requirements across multiple programs.What you will get to do:Lead and mentor the Software Quality and Mission Assurance program team and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organizationEnsure all software products consistently meet the highest quality standards before delivery to enhance customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and minimize riskPlan and monitor work operations of individual contributors and actively assist or provide clear direction using established policies, procedures, and practicesEstablish and maintain compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the performance and quality of products conform to established standards, specifications and customer requirementsCollaborate with Software Business Areas to ensure quality is inherent in every requirement, design, work product, and end-product delivered by Northrop GrummanLead and participate in root cause and corrective action analyses (RCCA) and failure investigations for high impact issues and teaches/coaches/mentors personnel in the use of RCCA for lower-level issuesIdentify potential risks related to hardware and software products and develop mitigation strategiesDevelop and deliver quality-related content/presentations to program leadership and other stakeholdersSupport Earned Value Management System (EVMS)/Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities including the planning, coordination, and achievement of all work within a Control AccountBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree AND 5 years of related experience in at least one of the following areas: Engineering, Production/Manufacturing, Mission Assurance and/or Quality Assurance OR a Master's degree AND 3 years of related experience in at least one of the following areas: Engineering, Production/Manufacturing, Mission Assurance and/or Quality Assurance OR a High School Diploma AND 9 years of related experience in at least one of the following areas: Engineering, Production/Manufacturing, Mission Assurance and/or Quality AssuranceExperience with Mission Assurance and Software Quality Engineering practices and processes.Ability to read documentation such as contractual standards, program plans, statements of work, and requirementsExperience with ISO9001, and/or AS9100 industry standardsKnowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action process and toolsAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret DOD Security ClearanceMust be able to work on-site in Huntsville, AlabamaMust have the ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally Preferred Qualifications:Dedicated to teamwork and be able to work well in a team environmentISO 9001 and/or AS9100 trained auditorFamiliar with AS9102 and AS6500Certified Control Account Manager (CAM)Advanced Excel skillsPrevious management experienceLean Six Sigma Black Belt certificationActive DOD Secret Security...
