U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer who will contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in our digital transformation journey.
We are seeking a Software Engineer to support and enhance full-stack applications across a modern technology stack, including React, .NET, SQL Server, and Office VBA. This role will focus on application support, feature enhancements, vulnerability remediation, and CI/CD pipeline maintenance, contributing to the reliability, scalability, and security of critical systems.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of owning development work end-to-end while adhering to engineering, compliance, and security best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications using React, .NET/C#, SQL Server, and related technologies to support business-critical functions.
- Provide application support and incident management, including troubleshooting complex production issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions.
- Design, build, test, and deploy scalable software solutions that meet functional, performance, reliability, and security requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and engineers to deliver high-quality technology solutions.
- Create and optimize database solutions by developing efficient SQL queries, data models, stored procedures, and performance tuning strategies.
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes, contributing to automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and release management activities.
- Identify, assess, and remediate application vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with enterprise security standards and secure coding practices.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and knowledge-sharing activities to promote engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
- Work independently to manage assigned deliverables while effectively prioritizing tasks, communicating risks, and collaborating within an agile team environment.
- Contribute to operational excellence and software reliability initiatives, leveraging modern engineering practices, cloud technologies, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance system stability and performance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Two to three years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in financial services or other highly regulated environments.
- Strong proficiency in React, .NET/C#, SQL Server, and application support processes.
- Knowledge of secure software development practices, vulnerability remediation, and compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, DevOps methodologies, and deployment automation.
- Familiarity with Office VBA and legacy application automation tools.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and modern software delivery toolchains.
- Understanding of Software Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, monitoring, and operational best practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and take ownership of delivering high-quality solutions.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $92,820.00 - $109,200.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
