Job Summary:
Poland Patriot Program is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Senior Test Development Engineer to join the Raytheon International Engineering team. Combine your technical skills, global mindset, and your ability to collaborate and build partnerships to make the world a safer place.
The candidate will oversee the development of test processes and procedures for products, taking into consideration problems inherent in the transfer of technology from research to production. Such design and development may include new or revised processes and test design for produceability. The engineer will support tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and services, troubleshoot and solve production process problems with processes or equipment in operation. They will utilize lean manufacturing skills to maximize throughput, efficiency, and value as well as utilize best practices and lesson learned to increase yield and throughput. This engineer will be supporting a Polish Offset partner who will be transitioning from primarily research and development and very small production environment to a serial production environment.
The position is a 2 year international assignment on an MOU with additional compensation emoluments with possibility to extend. The position is based in Gdynia, Poland and may require travel up to 25%.
What You Will Learn:
- Member of Raytheon Polska staff based in Poland in support of the LTAMDS and Patriot IPTs
- Develop the Polish supplier’s capability to test products that meet defense and Raytheon standards and support the development of the Production Readiness Review (PRR) and coordinate the development of the Test Readiness Review (TRR) in support of Proof of Manufacturing (POM) development, First Article, and transition to production.
- Support partner test reviews
- Manage the coordination of program schedules with ISC, Subcontracts, Operations, Engineering, and other Cross Product Teams.
- Support Installation of Production Test Equipment, including training, calibration, define interfaces, support equipment and facility requirements
- Utilize LEAN & CORE principles to drive a continuous improvement culture and initiatives in support of international manufacturing operations, including to streamline manufacturing flow, and improve cycle time, safety, quality, and delivery.
- Support special process audits and First Article inspections
- Engage with partner cold line production start, mitigating technical and performance risk by participating in engagements which will include requirements reviews, documenting recommended risk mitigation/opportunity activities as they relate to design and manufacturing, review and disposition of SDRLs
- Develop Facility Requirements Documentation and Facility Site Inspections for deployment of Test Equipment
- Support weekly subcontractors and internal team tag up meetings.
- In partnership with supplier, troubleshoot test equipment and product failures included but not limited to Functional Test, ICT/Flying Probe, ESS.
- Monitor supplier test capability, readiness, and adherence to engineering specifications.
- Support partner in development of troubleshooting and lessons learn documentation related to test equipment and product test failures.
- Support partner to identify and develop test metrics such as FPY, failure rate, cycle time, test coverage.
- Engage with partner during test failures root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent and 8+ years of experience in production and/or engineering support environment related to Engineering or 6+ years of experience with advanced degree
- Experience with any of the following: developing test strategies, test programs and designed test fixtures for CCAs, Wiring Harnesses, and Higher-Level Assemblies
- Experience with any of the following: developing Test Program Sets on such platforms are in circuit, functional, Automated Optical Inspectors, and Flying Prober Platforms
- Experience with any of the following: using design tools such as MATLAB, Test Studio, PDM, AutoCAD, VISIO, and MS Office.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Security clearance is not required but may be required at a later date.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience supporting international subcontractors in a production environment
- Experience in Sub-contractor management in production of Circuit Card Assemblies and Higher-Level Assemblies
- Working knowledge or experience with CCAs and HLAs processes and/or LTAMDS or Patriot products, to include AMPS101 test capability.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
- Experience in production of complex systems with ability to use analytical tools and methods
- Experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles (5S, Kanban, Takt Time, Optimal product work-flow)
- Support Mission Assurance in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activity
- Demonstrated technical, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Advocate for process improvement, team builder and able to build strong relationships with partner and internal resources
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with external suppliers
- Ability to influence others regarding policies, practices and procedures.
- Works autonomously with limited oversight from manager

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
