We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Controls Manager to lead the delivery of project controls services across a portfolio of projects and programs. This role plays a critical leadership position in supporting project delivery teams through the implementation of project controls frameworks, governance processes, performance reporting and delivery assurance practices.
The Project Controls Manager will be responsible for establishing and continuously improving project controls and project management processes across all phases of the project lifecycle. Working closely with Project Managers, delivery teams and senior stakeholders, the role will provide strategic oversight of cost management, planning and scheduling, risk management, forecasting, reporting and performance measurement.
Key Responsibilities include:
Lead and continuously improve project controls frameworks, governance processes and delivery practices across a portfolio of projects.
Provide strategic oversight of project performance, including cost, schedule, risk, change management, forecasting and reporting.
Partner with Project Managers and delivery teams to establish effective planning, project controls and performance management practices.
Lead, mentor and develop Project Controls personnel, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
Provide project assurance through the identification of risks, issues and trends, supporting informed decision making and successful project outcomes.
Develop and maintain executive level reporting and performance insights for senior stakeholders and clients.
Drive capability uplift across project teams through coaching, training and the implementation of best practice project controls methodologies.
Build strong relationships across project, commercial, engineering and client teams to support consistent and successful project delivery.
Who Are You?
The ideal candidate is a proven Project Controls leader with extensive experience supporting major infrastructure, engineering or construction projects through robust governance, performance management and project delivery practices.
You will have the following skills and experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Commerce, Business or a related discipline.
Extensive experience leading project controls functions across major infrastructure, utilities, transport, water, energy or construction projects.
Strong knowledge of project controls disciplines, including planning and scheduling, cost management, forecasting, risk management, change control and performance reporting.
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing project controls frameworks, governance processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop teams while building strong relationships with project managers, clients and senior stakeholders.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic advice and influence decision-making.
