It’s real systems, at real scale, people solving some of the hardest challenges in technology today.We’re looking for people who want to build, solve, and operate at that level.Join us and let’s shape the future of data.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Own reliability validation testing and failure analysis (FA) for HDD products and next-generation technology platforms.Develop and refine validation test plans and standards based on product architecture and design inputs, ensuring comprehensive coverage from prototype to mass production.Lead the qualification, standardization, maintenance, and continuous improvement of validation tools, fixtures, and lab capabilities.Support test infrastructure readiness and process planning during the introduction of next-generation technologies.Collaborate with global labs, design, and product engineering teams to align validation methodologies and ensure data consistency.Provide technical risk assessments and quality validation input to cross-functional projects.Plan test resources and schedules to support project milestones and ensure validation effectiveness.Maintain SOPs and validation documentation in accordance with quality system and audit requirements.Communicate test findings clearly and drive resolution through collaborative follow-up.Adopt AI to improve reliability testing and predictability of media performance in HDD.Guide lab technicians in sample testing, data collection, and daily equipment maintenance.QualificationsMaster’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automatic Control, Optical Engineering, Optoelectronics, Photonics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design and Theory, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or other related technical disciplines.Experience or knowledge of signal processing, automatic control, instrumentation, or testing systems is preferred.Basic understanding of HDD product structure, materials, magnetic storage principles, or reliability validation is a plus.
