The Sales Technology SME (Salesforce) serves as the regional subject matter expert for Salesforce within the Germany Sales Organization. This role acts as the operational and strategic conduit between the EMEA Center of Practice (CoP) and local sales teams, ensuring alignment, adoption, and optimization of Salesforce tools and processes. The SME manages the Power User community, transcreates training materials, and delivers localized training to sales teams in the native language.

What you’ll do:

In addition to system support responsibilities, the role provides business-facing consultancy by supporting sales teams and sales leadership with pipeline analytics, reporting, business reviews, and data-driven decision making. The SME helps users understand the business rationale behind Salesforce processes, governance rules, and data quality requirements to drive sustainable adoption and forecast accuracy. The role provides Level 1 support for Salesforce Sales & Marketing modules (CRM, PRM), including partner onboarding and basic Case handling. It escalates technical issues to SNOW/IT and collaborates with the Case lead for Germany to ensure continuity and coverage. The SME ensures that Salesforce usage is consistent, effective, and aligned with strategic goals across the region.

Sales Analytics & Business Support

  • Support sales teams with pipeline reporting, analytics, and data interpretation
  • Analyze pipeline quality, opportunity progression, forecast health, and sales performance indicators
  • Drive adoption and consistent usage of standardized Salesforce reports and dashboards
  • Collect business feedback and improvement requirements from sales teams and provide structured input to the EMEA CoP
  • Support sales teams in preparing for business reviews and performance discussions
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on Salesforce data to support business decisions
  • Identify data quality gaps and improvement opportunities impacting pipeline visibility and forecasting

Business Process Enablement

  • Explain Salesforce processes, governance rules, and business requirements to end users
  • Act as trusted advisor to sales teams regarding Salesforce best practices and operational processes
  • Drive understanding of data governance standards and their impact on forecasting and reporting accuracy
  • Collect regional business requirements and provide structured feedback to the EMEA CoP

Leadership Engagement

  • Conduct regular meetings with sales leaders to review pipeline performance, adoption metrics, and business challenges
  • Support leadership teams during monthly and quarterly business review cycles
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on CRM data trends and adoption indicators

Daily Sales Support

  • Act as regional SME for Salesforce across Germany Sales Organization
  • Liaise between EMEA CoP and local sales teams
  • Manage and support the Salesforce Power User community
  • Transcreate and deliver Salesforce training in local language
  • Provide Level 1 support for CRM and PRM modules
  • Onboard partners via PRM workflows
  • Escalate technical issues via SNOW/IT ticketing
  • Support Case processes in collaboration with the Germany Case Lead
  • Ensure Salesforce adoption and process alignment
  • Maintain documentation and training standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Information Systems, Sales Operations, or a related field
  • Advanced degree in Business, Information Systems, Sales Operations, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Salesforce, Sales Operations, CRM, or Sales Enablement environments

Skills:

  • Fluency in German and English (written and verbal)
  • Experience supporting sales teams in pipeline management, forecasting, and business reviews
  • Experience working within regional or multinational organizations
  • Experience delivering user training and adoption programs
  • Experience acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and central governance or IT teams
  • Proven experience with Salesforce CRM and PRM modules
  • Knowledge of sales operations, territory management, pipeline management, and forecasting methodologies
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Salesforce reporting, and sales analytics tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Basic SAP R/3 knowledge and ability to support Case escalation and resolution tracking
  • Capability to support Case escalations and resolution tracking
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong process understanding and analytical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to manage cross-functional coordination and drive alignment across teams
  • Experience delivering training and localizing business and technical content
  • Familiarity with SNOW/IT ticketing processes and structured issue management
