VP, Industry Consultant

Responsible for the enterprise solution overview, ensuring solution incorporates clients’ and Acxiom overall business strategy and technical vision. Uncovers prospect/client’s business issues, creating high level business requirements. Determines if Acxiom has the capability/capacity to solve prospect/client’s business problems. Liaisons with sales, account management, technical/delivery executives and industry solution architects to ensure seamless customer service in the sales and delivery process.

COMPETENCIES 

• Consumer Industry Expertise: Bring current, working knowledge of the retail, QSR, and sports verticals and the forces shaping them. 

• Solution Consulting: Match Acxiom's data, identity, and partner capabilities to real client problems and shape the approach to solve them. 

• Account Strategy: Contribute to the strategic roadmap for named consumer accounts and prioritize where Acxiom can create the most value. 

• Client Relationship Building: Develop trusted, senior level relationships across clients and the agencies that represent them. 

• Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, delivery, and sales teams to shape proposals and delivery models that hold up in execution. 

• Executive Communication: Deliver clear, compelling narratives around value and return on investment. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Lead consumer industry strategy across retail, QSR, and sports for direct and agency relationships. 

• Support named consumer accounts, functioning as a strategic resource to their business goals. 

• Develop tailored solution strategies that connect Acxiom's capabilities to client needs. 

• Build the business case and return on investment narrative behind each opportunity. 

• Partner with product and delivery teams to make sure proposed solutions can be delivered well. 

• Support client engagements such as business reviews and deal pursuits. 

• Provide client driven feedback to inform Acxiom's product and solution roadmap. 

• Deliver high impact presentations that communicate Acxiom's differentiators and value. 

Basic Qualifications:

• Ten (10) to twelve (12) years of experience in industry strategy, solution consulting, or client strategy, ideally within retail, QSR, sports, or adjacent consumer industries. 

• Experience working across both direct clients and agency partners. 

• Strong background in data driven marketing, identity, and activation strategy. 

• Demonstrated success translating client needs into revenue generating solutions. 

• Executive communication skills, with a track record of building trusted client relationships. 

• Strong critical thinking, financial acumen, and writing skills. 

• Ability to travel as needed to support client engagements and planning. 

• Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience.
