Job Description & Summary

As a member of the Litigation, Regulatory and Counselling team within our Office of General Counsel (OGC), you will contribute to all aspects of managing regulatory and litigation matters. This will include advising on a broad range of regulatory-focused issues as well as assisting with general commercial litigation and other contentious matters. You will join a supportive in-house legal team, working closely with stakeholders across all areas and levels of the organisation and applying your technical expertise and strategic judgement to deliver practical, impactful advice.

What you’ll do: 

  • Manage regulatory matters and support strategic responses to legal risk. 

  • Manage litigation and contentious matters, including external counsel coordination. 

  • Prepare and deliver clear, practical legal advice to internal clients. 

  • Identify and communicate legal risk in a clear, commercial way. 

  • Contribute to team knowledge, matter management and continuous improvement. 

 

What we’re looking for: 

Core skills 

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant legal experience from a law firm of in-house legal team. 

  • Strong litigation, regulatory or contentious matters experience. 

  • Sound legal judgement and practical, commercial advice.ji 

  • Ability to manage matters with appropriate autonomy. 

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills. 

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities. 

  • Collaborative, with a willingness to coach and support others. 

 

Desirable skills 

  • Experience with regulatory engagement, investigations or breach reporting. 

  • In-house, risk or compliance experience. 

  • Confidence working in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Interest in team initiatives and process improvement.
