Adv Specialty Program Coord II
Job Summary
Plans, directs, and manages the clinical activities of multiple specialty programs and/or multiple team members, and provides specialty care either directly or indirectly to patients. Maintains and monitors the program database and analyzes the data. Serves as a liaison between nursing staff, medical staff, pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals, patients and their families. Works collaboratively with leadership teams to conduct needs assessments/gap analyses to identify interventions to address gaps in performance. The coordinator develops, plans, and implements education that facilitates the professional growth, skill development, initial/ongoing competence, and attainment of standards of care to enhance patient safety for direct care providers. They evaluate outcomes of interventions, with a focus on quality, safety, and evidence-based practices. The coordinator role requires a collaborative relationship with the leadership teams to implement changes and establish clinical accountabilities for program success. In addition, the Level II Coordinator serves as the direct liaison between their programs/teams and department management.
Required Qualifications
- Require two (2) years of satisfactory RN experience; preferably in a designated specialty.- Require an active State of Florida Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer program management, teaching consulting and outcome management experience.- Prefer Certification in specialty area.- Prefer membership in a professional organization associated with specialty.
