About the Role
We're seeking a proactive and solutions-focused Safety, Quality & Compliance Advisor to join our team supporting a major Schools Infrastructure portfolio.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys building relationships, driving compliance and influencing positive safety cultures. Working closely with operational teams, contractors and client stakeholders, you'll help ensure the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance are maintained across maintenance delivery programs.
You'll play a key role in contractor engagement, auditing, reporting, onboarding and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting operational delivery teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Support health, safety, quality and compliance activities across the contract
Conduct audits of contractor safety documentation including SWMS, toolbox talks and licences
Monitor contractor compliance with WHS reporting and legislative obligations
Facilitate consultation, cooperation and coordination between contractors and stakeholders
Review asbestos registers, hazardous materials registers and site compliance requirements
Manage contractor and employee onboarding and offboarding processes
Monitor training records and ensure mandatory training requirements are completed
Support incident investigations and corrective actions
Deliver monthly, quarterly and annual compliance reporting
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives
Support operational teams during periods of high demand and workforce absences
Promote a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement
About You
Experience in health, safety, quality or compliance roles
Knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and compliance requirements
Experience conducting audits and supporting compliance programs
Strong stakeholder engagement and contractor management skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience supporting incident investigations and corrective actions
High attention to detail and strong reporting capability
Confident using Microsoft Office including Excel, Teams, SharePoint and PowerPoint
Formal qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline
