Country Manager, Finland (Mobility)
About the role and team
As Country Manager, you are the face of Uber in Finland—a high-growth, high-complexity market that stands uniquely apart from other Nordic markets. You are responsible for the strategy, growth, and P&L of our Mobility business, serving as the architect of our long-term success in an environment defined by rapid legislative change, linguistic distinctiveness, and sophisticated consumer behavior.
This is a role for a locally immersed, commercially sharp operator. You will take charge of the daily business operations, navigate legislative changes, lead high-stakes policy engagements, and build the deep, face-to-face partnerships required to thrive in a market where trust is paramount. You will also act as the vital bridge between local Finnish operations and Uber’s broader European leadership.

- Navigate the trade-offs between growth and profitability in a competitive, high-growth market, proactively identifying resource and investment needs.
Strategic Growth & Regulatory Leadership
- Define and lead Finland’s mobility growth strategy, specifically navigating the complex regulatory landscape, including the ongoing taxi legislative overhaul and EU directives implementation.
- Lead Uber’s expansion into new mobility categories, ensuring every launch is seamless and sustainable.
- Act as the primary interface for government and policy stakeholders, including managing parliament seminars, minister meetings, panel debates, and interviews.
Local Market Intelligence & Partnerships
- Build trust through deep, face-to-face relationship management with major local organizations (e.g., Taxi Helsinki, Finnair) and industry bodies.
- Serve as Uber’s "sharpest eyes and ears," delivering timely, data-driven intelligence on competitive shifts and market trends to regional leadership.
- Own local crisis responses, coordinating stakeholder communications and operational adjustments in the local language.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Help build and mentor a high-performing Nordics team, fostering a culture of ownership, ambition, and high-quality local execution.
- Represent Finland in EMEA forums, consistently articulating the local strategy and influencing regional stakeholders.
