In this position you will be reporting to the Manager Industrial Engineering and Ops Strategy. As the Tool Management Center Specialist, you will be responsible for managing new and existing tooling in order to support the Machine Shop.
Work Shift: Monday -Thursday, 4 days of 10 hour shifts (6:00 am - 4:00 pm).
This role is working onsite at Oakville facility - ON.
What You Will Do
Manage changes, repairs and improvements to existing tooling Zoller data.
Support the developing of new machining processes and modifying existing machining processes/practices.
Support the setup of tooling packages for the machine shop.
Managing the Continuous Improvement efforts in tooling.
Investigating tooling that is available for machining processes.
Developing special design tools and signing off on custom tooling.
Dealing with vendors in order to purchase various tools for the machine shop.
Ability to 3D Design in one of the following software – Catia V5, NX.
Track and implement cost savings ideas for Tooling and track tooling performance
Qualifications We Require
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
Previous experience using SAP or other related ERP systems.
Previous experience in managing relationships with vendors.
Experience in using Excel, Outlook and Word software.
A successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CGD
Qualifications We Prefer
Certified and Licensed Machinist or Tool & Die Maker.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with maintaining, troubleshooting Pre-setters (Zoller).
Basic Knowledge for machine connectivity, chip string for RFID.

The salary range for this role is 78,000 CAD - 122,850 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
