Hussey Copper, a Pantheon Electric company, is hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Planner for our manufacturing facility in Eminence, Kentucky.
In this high-impact role, you will plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance; manage work orders and backlog through the Computerized Maintenance Management System; coordinate labor, parts, tools, and technical documentation; and help reduce downtime across the facility.
The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background and experience with industrial maintenance planning, CMMS work-order management, equipment reliability, shutdown planning, Total Productive Maintenance, or Lean manufacturing.

WHAT YOU WILL DO!
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive, predictive, corrective, and planned maintenance activities.
• Manage maintenance work orders from initial request through completion using the CMMS.
• Build complete maintenance work packages that allow technicians to perform work safely and efficiently.
• Identify and coordinate the labor, parts, tools, permits, procedures, drawings, manuals, lockout information, and outside services required for each job.
• Review incoming maintenance requests and determine the safest and most effective way to complete the work.
• Partner with maintenance technicians, leads, supervisors, Production, Engineering, Stores, contractors, and equipment vendors.
• Track maintenance labor hours, parts, costs, predictive-maintenance readings, work-order status, backlog, and performance metrics.
• Communicate daily work status and provide weekly maintenance backlog reporting.
• Develop labor, material, and contractor cost estimates using historical maintenance data.
• Schedule maintenance activities around production requirements, labor availability, materials, and planned equipment downtime.
• Support planned shutdowns and outages by improving work scope, scheduling, parts availability, and job readiness.
• Review completed work orders and identify missing procedures, parts, tools, drawings, or lockout documentation.
• Improve equipment history, work instructions, and preventive-maintenance information within the CMMS.
• Help reduce unplanned downtime and increase equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and workforce productivity.
• Lead and support Total Productive Maintenance and CMMS improvement efforts.
• Participate in safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, Lean manufacturing, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Ensure safety remains the highest priority throughout the planning and execution of maintenance work.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Strong mechanical or industrial maintenance background is required.
• Associate degree, technical-school education, or completed apprenticeship program is preferred.
• Candidates without formal technical education should have at least six years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, mill, metals, or heavy-equipment environment is preferred.
• Experience planning or scheduling industrial maintenance work is strongly preferred.
• Experience using a CMMS to manage work orders, preventive maintenance, equipment history, labor, parts, and backlog is preferred.
• Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices.
• Ability to develop detailed, safe, and executable maintenance work plans.
• Ability to read and organize equipment manuals, technical drawings, schematics, procedures, and vendor documentation.
• Experience coordinating maintenance labor, replacement parts, specialized tools, contractors, and outside services.
• Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance, Lean manufacturing, equipment reliability, root-cause analysis, or Operational Excellence.
• Strong planning, organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Stores, and other departments.
• Detail-oriented and proactive approach to work-order quality, equipment uptime, and continuous improvement.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
• This is an onsite position within an active industrial manufacturing facility.
• The work environment includes moving mechanical equipment, varying temperatures, elevated noise levels, and heavy manufacturing activity.
• The position requires frequent walking and sitting, regular communication, and occasional standing and reaching.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
