Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Customer Service in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment. - Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout technology-focused facilities, office areas, loading zones, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate security-related observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
