What would you do? Role Summary The Capital Markets Operations Associate Vice President will be responsible for leading operations for one of the world s leading Private Markets Investment Firm, ensuring operational excellence, strong risk and control governance, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement. Provides strategic leadership across multiple fund administration workstreams or portfolios, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, client relationship management, and growth of the business.
What are we looking for? Experience • 12 to 15 years of overall experience, preferably in Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Private Market Investment. • 6+ years of experience in managing large teams, client delivery, operations governance, process controls, and stakeholder engagement. • Prior experience in managing 30+ FTEs or multiple sub-processes across global delivery models will be preferred. Qualifications • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required. • CFA Charter holder / CFA Level II+ preferred for valuation, portfolio reporting, and investment-focused roles. • ICWA/CMA qualification may be considered for select fund accounting and operational accounting roles. • Strong academic record, with a preference for candidates demonstrating consistent academic excellence (typically 75–80%+ throughout education). Work Requirements • Willingness to work in EMEA shift timings, rotational shifts, and business-critical coverage windows as required. • Willingness to work on Indian holidays or extended hours based on client and market requirements. • Ability to operate in a 100% return-to-office or hybrid model as per project and business policy. • Ability to support client visits, transition activities, governance reviews, audits, and crisis management situations when required. Preferred Competencies • Executive presence with the ability to influence clients, senior leadership, delivery teams, and support functions. • Strong control mindset with ability to manage audit, compliance, data protection, and information security requirements. • Experience in transition management, knowledge transfer, process stabilization, productivity delivery, and transformation execution. • Ability to create new solutions by adapting existing methods, procedures, tools, and best practices to meet business needs. • Demonstrated ability to lead change, drive team engagement, and maintain service excellence in a high-volume, risk-sensitive operating environment.
Roles and Responsibilities: •Key Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end Capital Markets operations delivery across assigned processes, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, quality standards, risk controls, and client commitments. • Manage large delivery teams through Team/Process Supervisor, SMEs ensuring effective workload allocation, capacity planning, coaching, succession planning, and performance management. • Act as the primary operational contact for clients, senior stakeholders, internal leadership, and cross-functional teams for service delivery, governance, escalations, and transformation priorities. • Drive strong governance routines including daily/weekly performance reviews, monthly business reviews, risk reviews, audit readiness • Ensure robust control environment by strengthening SOPs, checklists, maker-checker controls, reconciliation frameworks, exception management, escalation protocols, and root-cause analysis practices. • Manage operational risks, client escalations, financial impact incidents, audit observations, and regulatory-sensitive deliverables with timely remediation plans. • Partner with stakeholders to identify process improvement, automation, Gen AI, analytics, productivity, and transformation opportunities. • Build a culture of continuous improvement, compliance, data protection, client centricity, operational discipline, and high-performance delivery. • Support hiring, training, knowledge transition, cross-skilling, talent development, engagement, and retention initiatives across the process span Domain Skill/Knowledge and System Exposure Core Domain Skills Required Strategic Fund Accounting Oversight • Oversight of multi-fund accounting operations, Valuation governance and controls, Review of complex waterfall calculations, Master-feeder and SPV structures, complex investor structures Technical Accounting Expertise • Expert GAAP / IFRS knowledge, ASC 820, IFRS 13, ASC 470, IFRS 9, Regulatory reporting requirements, Audit and compliance leadership Investor & Client Management • Executive stakeholder management, Fund manager interaction, Investor reporting governance, Escalation ownership Delivery & Governance • Operational governance, Risk management frameworks, Quality assurance review, Financial controls oversight, Business continuity planning Transformation & Continuous Improvement • Operating model optimization • Automation opportunities • AI and analytics adoption • Process redesign • Productivity improvement initiatives Leadership Competencies • People leadership • Workforce planning • Talent development • Financial management • Client account growth supportAny Graduation
