We are looking for a passionate Software Developer to join our infrastructure team. This software-focused role involves building the services, platforms and automation that support our engineering teams and production systems. You will develop reliable backend software, improve developer workflows and help operate scalable infrastructure in a predominantly Kubernetes-based environment.
How you will make an impact
- Designing and building reliable backend services and infrastructure tooling using Python
- Developing and operating applications and services on Kubernetes
- Building automation that improves the deployment, operation and management of production systems
- Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows
- Working with relational databases and message-driven systems, including PostgreSQL and RabbitMQ
- Improving the scalability, reliability, performance and operability of distributed systems
- Collaborating with software developers and infrastructure specialists to solve challenging technical problems
- Contributing to technical design discussions, code reviews, testing and software architecture best practices
- Driving projects and leading new initiatives
- Migrating legacy workloads to Kubernetes
- Maintaining some legacy non-Kubernetes production infrastructure

What you bring to the team
- A bachelor's or a master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3 to 7 years of experience building and operating software systems
- Strong Python development experience
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications on Kubernetes
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience working with Linux systems
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing and best practices
- Self-directed, proactive and able to drive work forward independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A collaborative team player and passionate problem solver with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with observability practices and tools—including metrics, logging, tracing and alerting—is an asset
