Powering live events around the world, this platform helps organizers run everything from intimate campus summits to large-scale trade shows. It brings together check-in kiosks, badge printing, mobile apps, and attendee engagement tools into a single, connected ecosystem.
This isn't software people use out of necessity. Organizers choose it because it performs when it matters most, and that expectation drives the team to continuously raise the bar and build better products every day.
Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer II to help build, improve, and scale the platform behind live event operations.
This role is hands-on across backend systems, frontend experiences, APIs, integrations, databases, product workflows, performance, and reliability. You will work closely with product, design, and leadership, and you will be expected to take meaningful ownership of the problems you solve.
Key responsibilities
- Build products used by thousands of event organizers worldwide, creating technology that supports real experiences and important event moments.
- Own features end-to-end and see your work reach users quickly.
- Create scalable backend systems, APIs, and integrations that keep the platform fast, reliable, and ready for growth.
- Solve meaningful engineering challenges by improving systems, optimizing performance, and fixing problems at the root.
- Ship consistently in a fast-moving environment where progress, quality, and momentum matter.
- Work closely with product, design, and leadership to turn ambitious ideas into practical, reliable software.
- Use modern tools, automation, and AI-supported workflows to move faster, build smarter, and raise the quality bar.
- Improve existing products every day by refining features, improving user experience, and making strong software even better.
- Help shape technical decisions and influence the future direction of the platform.
Qualifications
- Strong engineering fundamentals in backend development, frontend systems, databases, APIs, security, and clean code.
- 2+ years of experience with modern frameworks and tools such as Python, Django, React.js, Flutter, or similar technologies.
- Ability to build reliable, scalable systems that perform well under real-world usage.
- Ownership mindset: you take initiative, solve problems independently, and care deeply about outcomes.
- Curiosity and fast learning ability, with a strong interest in figuring things out and adapting quickly to new technologies.
- Product thinking: you care about users, workflows, and business impact, not only the code itself.
- Strong debugging instincts and the ability to break down complex problems calmly and logically.
- Great communication skills, with the confidence to share ideas, challenge assumptions, and collaborate well.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can evolve and speed matters.
- Smart use of AI tools and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and output.
- Genuine passion for software, whether through side projects, experimentation, or a constant desire to improve.
Perks and culture
- Compensation is 85,000 - 100,000 CAD per year.
- 100% employer-paid health coverage.
- Office location directly connected to the TTC subway, making the commute simple.
- Team lunches, learning opportunities, and regular outings that make growth and connection part of the role.
- Ambitious, high-performance culture surrounded by people who enjoy building meaningful products.
The kind of person we are looking for
We are looking for ambitious people who work hard, think big, solve problems quickly, and know how to enjoy the journey along the way. If you want to grow personally and professionally, this can be a strong fit.
On a small team, your impact will not be theoretical or delayed. You will take on real responsibility early, move quickly, and help shape products used by events around the world. Your work will matter from day one.
This role is an existing vacancy. Artificial intelligence or automated decision-making tools are not used in the hiring process.
