Expected salary range of $78,300 to $87,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Responsibilities
Primary Purpose of Position
A Contracts Analyst is a key member of the legal team, with a responsibility for assisting the legal team in matters involving the contract terms of its retail commodity business. This includes reviewing, drafting, negotiating, analyzing, and explaining Constellation's standard retail commodity contract forms with a high level of autonomy. The Contract Analyst also works cross-functionally on various projects and supports key relationships with the business and internal and external customers.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Review, draft, negotiate, analyze, and discuss retail commodity contracts, confidentiality agreements, channel partner agreements, and other documents submitted for legal review in real time with internal and external stakeholders under moderate guidance from a supervising attorney.
- Interpret and explain contractual terms, rights, and obligations to third parties, commercial teams, and functional groups.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to update contract templates based on regulatory changes and business needs.
- Represent the retail legal department in meetings to educate, train, and develop or improve processes.
- Execute direction provided by retail transactional attorneys and broader legal department leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience, or 6 years of equivalent experience in lieu of the degree
- 2-years legal experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving and independent decision making
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work
- Computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Qualifications

- 1-year of industry experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program
- Experience supporting a front office sales organization
- Experience analyzing and negotiating contracts
