What Does the Internship Program Offer?
This internship provides an opportunity to step into the technology industry and gain hands-on experience in software quality assurance. With supervision and guidance from experienced team members, interns will develop practical skills in functional and non-functional testing while gaining exposure to industry-standard testing methodologies, coding techniques, and test automation tools.

Job Description
As an Associate, Quality Assurance Engineer, you will begin your career in technology by gaining hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance. Working under the supervision and guidance of experienced team members, you will support functional and non-functional testing activities while developing your knowledge of industry-standard testing methodologies, coding practices, and test automation tools.
You will work as part of an Agile team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role offers the opportunity to build practical experience in manual and automated testing, test case design, defect reporting, software engineering principles, and emerging technologies.
What does the 6-months duration involve?
During the six-month internship, you will gain practical experience in software quality assurance while working as part of an Agile team and adapting to a DevOps culture.
Your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing assigned user stories and identifying appropriate test cases using established test design techniques.
Supporting functional and non-functional testing activities under the guidance of experienced Quality Assurance Engineers.
Performing both manual and automated test execution.
Automating suitable test cases using established test automation frameworks and tools.
Identifying, documenting, and reporting software defects with clear, complete, and accurate information.
Developing practical knowledge of software testing methodologies, quality assurance principles, and software development practices.
Building technical skills through hands-on experience with programming, automation, databases, and emerging technologies.
Collaborating with cross-functional team members to support the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Learning and applying Agile and DevOps principles in a professional technology environment.
Work Location
This position follows a hybrid working arrangement. The successful candidate will have access to our local office located at LK-Colombo-200 Nawala Mawatha. Please note that interviews for this position will also be conducted at the same office location.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in their third or final year, or recently graduated, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Sound understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
Good understanding of software engineering principles and methodologies.
Knowledge of at least one general-purpose programming language, such as Java, C#, or Python.
General understanding of relational and/or NoSQL database technologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and apply new knowledge effectively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to a dynamic and challenging environment.
Interest in emerging technologies and industry trends, including cloud computing, virtualization, containerization, microservices architecture, and artificial intelligence.
A positive, collaborative, and adaptable attitude, with a willingness to learn and work under the guidance of experienced team members.
