Job Description

What is the role?

The Operation Specialist role receives, investigates, and responds to all customer inquiries and complaints regarding banking products and services, processes basic bank service transactions. With extensive knowledge of the job and policies/practices, performs a wide range of advanced administrative/operational assignments.

What will you do?

  • Review Commercial Credit Requests (CCR) and ensure transaction details are clearly defined, clarify with Relationship Managers and/or Commercial Account Managers where required.
  • Prepare the client Credit Agreements incorporating standard/non-standard verbiage and ensuring all terms and conditions as outlined on the approved CCR are included.
  • Prepare security document(s) as outlined in the approved CCR.
  • Effectively complete Agreements with a Client first and doing it right the first-time mindset.
  • Continually adapt to change and be flexible to pivot where required.

Must-have:

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs.
  • Keen ability to deliver on tight timelines and provide consistent service within established benchmarks contributing to the achievement of the business Client Service Commitments (CSC's)
  • Adopts a growth mindset of continuous learning and adaptability, leads by example and demonstrates Leadership Model qualities and behaviors, positive and productive work environment on a continual daily basis.
  • Proactively identifies and recommends solutions to recurring errors, service gaps and process efficiency and effectiveness enhancements.
  • Ability to speak up and challenge the status quo where applicable for the greater good of RBC for positive client and employee impact
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Accurately defines problems and identifies relevant factors while objectively considering alternatives and solutions in anticipation of positive client impact.
  • Work schedule and business hours of 8:30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday (EST)

Nice-to-have:

  • University degree or related equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in Commercial Banking and documentation preparation.
  • Knowledge of Business Lending/credit policies, procedures, and Legal framework as it relates to Credit Transaction and Collateral Security Documentation including operational risk and mitigation techniques.
  • Knowledge of Synergy, Pega, Odyssey, ECM, CMS, Sales Platform tools and loan fulfillment process
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
