This role requires close, day-to-day partnership with Clinical Development, Biostatistics, Regulatory, Forecasting/Competitive Intelligence, Market Access, and Medical. The candidate must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with high expectations on quality and speed of deliverables, translating clinical and scientific uncertainty into clear commercial perspective and executive-ready strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own commercial asset strategy for assigned iza-bren indication(s) — ensuring alignment with the GPT team and broader oncology portfolio strategy
  • Lead development and iterative refinement of Target Product Profiles (TPPs), including designing and pressure-testing market research, gaining TL feedback, and thoughtful utilization of analogs to validate share/utilization assumptions
  • Lead and continuously refine commercial forecasting, market sizing, and revenue/valuation models; translate clinical, regulatory, or biomarker-inclusion changes into quantified commercial recommendations for cross-functional decision-making, and make clear recommendations under uncertainty
  • Shape and evolve the Clinical Development Plan (CDP) in partnership with Clinical Development, informing indication and study prioritization based on commercial assessment, competitive dynamics, and portfolio trade-offs
  • Develop executive-level governance narratives and materials that translate complex clinical and commercial data into clear, decision-ready recommendations for senior leadership and governance forums
  • Monitor and synthesize the relevant competitive landscape, proactively flagging implications for iza-bren strategy and commercial opportunity
  • Build and maintain excellent stakeholder networks across the GPT, global commercial strategy team, key regional partners and across matrix functions, to advance business objectives and ensure smooth progress as the program moves through key inflection points
  • Represent commercial strategy in the BMS/SystImmune alliance and governance forums, ensuring commercial input is reflected in joint decision-making on trial design, label strategy, and lifecycle planning

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • The ideal Director, Global Commercial Strategy candidate brings asset strategy experience in oncology, deep commercial assessment capability, and proven ability to influence cross-functionally and at governance forums. They should demonstrate comfort translating clinical uncertainty into clear strategic direction, and shaping portfolio decisions through rigorous, executive-ready analysis.
  • BS/BA or equivalent required; an MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 6-8 years of pharmaceutical/biotech commercial strategy, marketing, or top-tier consulting experience; oncology experience strongly preferred
  • Experience shaping Clinical Development Plan (CDP) evolution and/or indication prioritization in partnership with Clinical Development
  • Demonstrated end-to-end asset strategy experience in oncology, spanning early development through launch and lifecycle management
  • Experience with global launch sequencing and prioritization across markets and indications
  • Demonstrated experience with pre-launch commercialization: TPP development, market research design, forecasting/valuation, and CIP/CSRE-style planning processes
  • Strong ability to translate complex clinical, scientific, and regulatory data into clear, actionable commercial decisions and recommendations, including comfort making recommendations under uncertainty
  • Proven ability to develop executive-level governance narratives and materials, coupled with strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Experience representing commercial interests in alliance/partnership governance structures (e.g., joint program/joint steering committees) is a plus
  • Demonstrated success mobilizing cross-functional matrix teams (Clinical, Biostatistics, Regulatory, Market Access, Medical, Forecasting) to drive aligned, timely decisions
  • Well organized, with a demonstrated ability to build a practical workplan, prioritize with autonomy, hold and respect meeting cadences, and manage multiple concurrent workstreams with speed
  • Personal integrity; passionate, energetic, and focused on the company and mission
  • Listens/considers alternative ideas and viewpoints and encourages debate on others' ideas
  • Capacity to grow, develop, and learn from experience
