Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Java Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: Designing and developing APIs using RESTful and gRPC protocols; Defining API specifications, implementing security measures, and optimizing performance and reliability of API gateway-deployed platforms using Envoy gateways for APIs on-premises and on AWS; Implementing and managing gRPC multiplexing to handle multiple streams over a single connection; Optimizing communication patterns, managing concurrency, and improving latency and throughput; Developing enterprise-level applications using Spring framework and Spring Boot for microservices architecture; Implementing dependency injection, aspect-oriented programming, and transaction management using Visual Studio Code; Deploying and managing applications using cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Deploying, managing, and scaling applications using Kubernetes; Creating and managing Kubernetes clusters, configuring networking, and implementing service discovery and load balancing. This position requires one (1) year of experience with the following: Implementing authentication, authorization, encryption, and maintaining compliance with industry standards including OAuth2 and OpenID Connect; Tracking application performance and troubleshooting issues using monitoring tools including Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Dynatrace; Participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to support continuous improvement.
