Job Scope

  • Lead various New Zealand marketing activities including, but not limited to, support of sales growth initiatives, trade events, marketing promotions, content management, communications, and Customer Experience (CX)/User Experience (UX) development.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders in local marketing, sales and product management teams as well as corporate communications to ensure target market needs and internal compliance requirements are met.
  • Plan and execute strategy, marketing campaigns and branding activities for bringing new products to market.
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to drive productivity gains, streamline marketing workflows, and enhance content creation.

Primary Responsibilities

Marketing Communications

  • Create editorial content across various channels, utilising AI tools to streamline the writing process and drive productivity gains.
  • Support the sales team with information about the Company’s products and competitors’ products.
  • Work with the sales team and customers to develop editorial content about key project wins.
  • Support the implementation of company and product branding across New Zealand.
  • Implement marketing communication strategies and campaigns.

Trade Event Organisation

  • Work with Marketing Manager and Sales Managers to develop strategy for Allegion event attendance, and development of annual event calendar for customer and trade, external and internal events.
  • Organisation of Allegion attended trade events that brand and promote Allegion’s products and services (e.g. trade shows, industry events).
  • Analysis of annual trade events ensuring best use of marketing budget, sales and marketing resources and ROI.

Sales Strategy Support

  • Understand external customer needs and business operations, to develop tailored marketing services to meet their requirements.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager with gathering and analysis of market research.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop marketing and sales promotional material to support sales and marketing strategies.
  • Work with Product Management and other key stakeholders to successfully launch new products by developing and distributing marketing communications and collateral and developing demand creation activities.
  • Represent the marketing function at channel meetings and strategic customer meetings.

Customer Support

  • Actively support the sales team and customers with any areas that affect customer satisfaction (e.g. promotions and catalogues).
  • Manage the procedure and execution of display boards and blocks, ensuring current product and branding, to support customer instore experience.
  • Look at ways to improve the User Experience (UX) and Customer Experience (CX) through various methods, including digital tools (e.g. Overtur, how-to videos), in-aisle experience (e.g. training, merchandising), product experience (e.g. packaging, user manuals) and loyalty programs (e.g. BPP).
  • Work with key customers to develop strategic opportunities and promotional plans.
  • Work with strategically important building companies to develop opportunities in conjunction with sales teams.

General Duties

  • Provide back up and cross-functional support to the Marketing team as required
  • Assist management with other tasks as required from time to time
