Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Alarm Panel Operations in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control and alarm response activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems to document observations and communicate with visitors and team members. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, data infrastructure areas, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
- Complete accurate patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
