Position Summary

Reporting to the Strategic Account Leader (SAL) – CORCENTRIC (Channel 38), the Strategic Operations Leader (SOL) is responsible for executing and supporting the strategic objectives of assigned SOLD TO 220071 accounts, with Nationalease as the primary vertical, followed by Private Fleet and Carrier (PFAC) as directed by the SAL.

The SOL partners closely with fleet customers, servicing dealers, and internal stakeholders to drive revenue growth, cost avoidance, program compliance, and operational excellence. This role delivers value through customer site visits, fleet performance analysis, Cost Avoidance Journey Strategy execution, and the deployment of Bridgestone products, retread solutions, and mobility offerings.

The SOL also supports the development and expansion of strategic accounts by identifying growth opportunities, strengthening fleet and dealer engagement, and ensuring effective program execution across the CORCENTRIC PFAC / Nationalease model, including third party billing and differentiated pricing, invoicing, and receivables processes.

Responsibilities

Customer & Field Engagement

  • Spend up to 3 to 5 days per week in the field, with approximately 50% field support and 50% program administration
  • Conduct customer site visits to Nationalease member locations and fleet headquarters to support program execution and identify cost‑savings opportunities
  • Serve as backup to the SAL for PFAC customers when applicable
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with assigned fleets, Nationalease members, CORCENTRIC PFAC, and key decision‑makers
  • Participate in Nationalease events (3–5 per year) as a Bridgestone representative

Revenue Growth & Program Execution

  • Drive annual growth in Bridgestone, Bandag, TBR, retread, and Fleet Care adoption
  • Promote new products and solutions aligned with fleet performance and cost objectives
  • Develop and execute targeted sales activities, promotions, and account penetration strategies
  • Create and deliver formal presentations and conduct - at a minimum - annual business reviews with fleets and with NL HQ when applicable
  • Collect and report competitive TBR and retread market intelligence

Operational Excellence & Cost Performance

  • Implement the Cost Avoidance Journey Strategy to improve fleet economics
  • Manage and analyze cost performance metrics, including:
    • Tire cost per mile
    • Tire cost per unit
    • Tire cost as a percentage of revenue
    • Warranty capture and rebill opportunities
  • Apply GEMBA practices to evaluate real‑world product performance and operational effectiveness
  • Establish, maintain, and audit fleet Tire Policies for Nationalease members and PFAC fleets

Compliance & Dealer Partnership

  • Ensure compliance with Strategic Account and Nationalease program requirements
  • Audit dealer locations, yard surveys, and field activity to identify risks and resolve issues quickly
  • Partner with servicing dealers and local dealer representatives to maximize program execution, education, and sell‑out
  • Leverage Customer Service Managers (CSMs) for day‑to‑day field support

Systems, Tools & Internal Collaboration

  • Utilize Bridgestone IT tools and platforms (e.g., BASys Manufacturing, BASys Fleet Inventory,  ToolBox Yard Survey, Performance Tracker) to improve efficiency and deliver cost savings
  • Document all customer engagement and activity within CRM systems
  • Serve as liaison between fleets, dealers, Bridgestone shared services, and CORCENTRIC / Nationalease support teams
  • Support account administration / maintenance with Customer Master, pricing (TBR Pricing) , billing resolution (Billing Services), tax documentation (US TAX) , and service issue escalation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, sales, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience
  • At least 5 years of commercial truck tire and dealer field experience, with the ability to influence dealer strategy and operations
  • Prior experience in field sales, technical support, account management, operations, or financial analysis within the commercial tire industry
  • Working knowledge of fleet tire management concepts and KPIs
  • Above average proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Basic P&L literacy
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results, manage complex accounts, and influence cross‑functional partners
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Self‑motivated, structured, and comfortable working independently in a field‑based role
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic truck tire or maintenance knowledge
  • Experience training customers or internal partners

Desired Requirements

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% nationally (approximately every other week)
  • Proximity to Bridgestone Americas Headquarters – Nashville, TN, preferred (not required)
  • Ability to clearly articulate and lead the Cost Avoidance Journey Strategy
  • Working knowledge of PDCA methodology and 5‑Why / root‑cause analysis
