To learn more about them, you can find our values here (English).Job DescriptionAs a (Junior) Quantitative Trader, you will immerse yourself in the fast-paced environment of equity trading on Scalable Capital's market making desk.You will collaborate with seasoned traders and (quantitative) financial engineers, deepening your understanding of market dynamics, algorithmic trading strategies, and risk management.Become a market maker for equities, ETFs (equity and fixed income), and other ETPs, providing liquidity and facilitating efficient trading on the European Investor Exchange (EIX)Design, backtest and implement trading algorithms to enhance quoting and execution strategies, and adapt to changing market conditions, ensuring high code quality through version control and automated testingAnalyze market data, large datasets, leveraging time-series databases for efficient researchLeverage your programming skills to automate data processing, handle real-time data streams, and enhance data visualizationSupport the development and optimization of trading systems, enhancing efficiency, robustness, and scalable deploymentAssist in optimizing treasury and liquidity management to ensure effective cash flow, funding strategies, and risk mitigationUnderstand and apply risk management practices and ensure regulatory complianceWork closely with quantitative engineers, developers, and seasoned tradersQualificationsIt is advantageous if you have gained initial internship experience in finance or banking, ideally in investment banking or at a fintech company.You demonstrate proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, Rust and SQL, and have experience using data analysis tools (such as Streamlit or Google Tesseract/OCR) and libraries (such as Pandas, NumPy, Scipy, Seaborn, scikit-learn).Additionally, you have practical experience with version control systems (e.g., Git/GitHub) and modern software engineering practices (CI/CD, Docker).It is advantageous if you not only have a strong interest in financial markets, trading, and investment strategies, but also practical experience.A solid understanding of market microstructure, limit order books, and trading protocols (such as FIX) is a strong plus.University degree, preferably in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or relatedFamiliarity with time-series databases (e.g., InfluxDB, kdb+/q) and streaming technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka) is highly beneficialProficiency in Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets)Demonstrable interest in financial markets, trading, and investment strategiesAbility to deliver under pressure with excellent analytical skills in a fast-paced environmentA collaborative problem-solver with attention to detail, along with strong communication and teamwork skillsFluent in EnglishAdditional InformationBe part of one of...
