Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Product Profit Lifecycle Management (PPLM) Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Analyst based out of our Plano, Texas Headquarters.

This role is responsible for ensuring full vehicle lifecycle profitability by managing cost and price from early concept through production; which includes Cost Planning, Cost Management, and Forecasting functions. It plays a key role in Toyota’s transition to enterprise profit-focused operations by delivering financial insights that inform development decisions and our long-term mobility strategy.

The Senior Analyst collaborates cross-functionally to manage schedules, assess financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive actions that improve vehicle-level and enterprise profitability.

What you’ll be doing

25% – Lead Planning and Coordination

  • Manage project schedules and milestones from concept through production

  • Align profit targets with Sales, Design, Plant, Logistics, and other functional groups

  • Define and drive execution of roles, deliverables, and timelines

  • Use strong communication and follow-up to maintain alignment and accountability

30% – Analyze Financial Performance

  • Compare Cost Planning, Pricing, Ideal Budget, and PBM Actuals based on lifecycle phase

  • Identify and explain cost and price drivers impacting profitability

  • Provide clear gap-to-target analysis to support recovery actions and strategic decisions

25% – Monitor Profitability and Inform Target Management

  • Track inputs across Cost Planning, Pricing, Ideal Budget, and PBM Actuals

  • Monitor Risks and Opportunities to support target management and long-term profitability

10% – Support Manufacturing and Investment Strategy

  • Partner with Enterprise Strategy & Solutions on plant, line, and localization studies

  • Support financial analysis to guide capacity planning and capital investment decisions

10% – Standardize Tools and Processes

  • Develop scalable analysis templates, tools, and systems to improve efficiency and consistency

  • Document and standardize processes that enable data-driven decision-making across the vehicle lifecycle

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

• 3+ years of relevant experience in Product or Program Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or Strategic Cost/Profit Analysis

• Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and financial storytelling

• Strong Excel skills (i.e., v-lookups, pivot tables) and experience with data visualization

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Prior Project Management experience

• Prior experience presenting to management/executive level

• Experience with vehicle lifecycle management, cost planning, or manufacturing finance

• Background in process improvement, standardization, or tool development

Added bonus if you have

  • MBA or advanced degree

  • PM certification (i.e., PMP, CAPM)

  • Familiarity with SAP, Tableau, Power BI, or other financial systems
