About Orqa FPV

Founded in 2018 in Croatia, Orqa has grown from a hardware consulting firm into one of Europe’s leading drone technology companies. We design and manufacture advanced FPV and unmanned systems used by enterprise, industrial, and defense clients worldwide. With fully vertically integrated operations — covering design, electronics, optics, firmware, software, and in-house manufacturing — we maintain complete control over quality, performance, and supply chain reliability. This allows us to iterate quickly, optimize every part of the system, and deliver products that meet demanding real-world requirements. Today, Orqa products are used in more than 50 countries, with over 100,000 units delivered in 2024. Our mission is to build the enabling technologies for the future of Remote Reality and set new standards in the aerial robotics industry.

At Orqa, we’re building technology that allows humans and machines to see the world like never before. We bring together engineers, creators, and innovators who push the boundaries of what’s possible – from cutting-edge FPV systems to advanced Remote Reality solutions, and toward the next generation of robotics. And behind every great technology, there’s great organization.

We’re looking for Quality Control Technicians to join our manufacturing team and take an active, hands-on role in conducting daily quality checks across our electric motor production line.

In this role, you’ll perform continuous inspections across the entire production lifecycle—from raw components to final propulsion testing. Because we build high-performance components in-house, you’ll work directly on the shop floor as part of a dedicated QC team, utilizing precise measurement tools and testing software like BetaFlight to ensure every motor meets our strict reliability and performance standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Perform incoming inspections on raw materials, electronic components, and semi-finished parts against valid technical specifications

  • Conduct in-process quality controls including motor balancing, conductivity testing, impulse tests, and rotor inspections

  • Execute final product testing, including visual inspections, propulsion testing, and functional verification via ESC and BetaFlight

  • Measure components accurately using callipers, micrometers, and custom measurement jigs while reading technical drawings

  • Log inspection data, fill out QA/QC forms, report rejections/acceptances, and participate in root-cause investigations for non-conformances

  • Collaborate closely with assembly and engineering teams to address quality issues and support continuous process improvements

WHAT WE EXPECT

  • Secondary technical school degree (SSS) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical field)

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in quality control or quality assurance within a technical/manufacturing environment

  • Practical understanding of basic QMS tools and familiarity with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001)

  • High level of technical proficiency, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

  • Basic PC skills (Excel, Word, Google Workspace, ERP systems)

  • Clear communication, analytical problem-solving skills, and a strong team-player mindset

  • Working proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
