Job Title

Tech Lead, Infrastructure Engineering(Cloud FinOps)

Cloud FinOps Analyst

We are looking for a driven Cloud FinOps Analyst to help design, develop, and mature cloud financial management (FinOps) capabilities across the organization. This role partners closely with engineering, product, and finance teams to translate cloud usage into clear financial insights, improve cost transparency, and enable disciplined forecasting and optimization across AWS (and potentially Azure/GCP).

What does a successful Cloud FinOps Analyst do at Fiserv?

You will become a trusted liaison between engineering and finance—helping finance quantify the cost impacts of engineering and operational decisions, and helping engineering adopt cost management best practices. You will build and evolve forecasting models, create real-time cost reporting and KPI dashboards, and support a pragmatic FinOps roadmap that drives accountability and measurable outcomes.

What you will do:

  • Develop, maintain, and evolve cloud cost forecasting models that provide insight into current and future cloud spend.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to attribute cloud costs to teams and services, establish forecasts, and identify primary cost drivers.
  • Work with Finance to maintain alignment between financial plans and cloud cost reporting (including AWS cost reporting).
  • Build, manage, and continuously improve real-time cloud cost dashboards and forecasts.
  • Define and maintain cloud cost KPIs, scorecards, and standard metrics (e.g., allocation coverage, forecast accuracy, unit economics, optimization pipeline).
  • Create and deliver stakeholder-ready presentations, dashboards, and data visualizations that highlight key observations and actionable recommendations.
  • Assist in developing a high-level FinOps strategy and rollout plan, including governance, operating cadence, and stakeholder onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to onboard them to FinOps tools, processes, and reporting.
  • Recommend tools and capabilities needed to scale FinOps across the company (cost allocation, anomaly detection, budgeting, and optimization workflows).
  • Identify cost anomalies and optimization opportunities and partner with engineering teams to prioritize and execute improvements.

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ Years of IT Experience and Relevant 2–5+ years of experience in Cloud FinOps, cloud cost management, FP&A, cloud platform operations, or technical financial analysis.
  • Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP billing, pricing models, and discount mechanisms (e.g., Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Committed Use Discounts).
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Experience with cost allocation, forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization analysis.
  • Ability to partner directly with engineering teams and translate cloud usage patterns into financial insights and recommendations.
  • Familiarity with FinOps frameworks and best practices.

What would be great to have:

  • FinOps Certified Practitioner and/or a cloud certification (preferred, not required).
  • Experience supporting regulated industries (e.g., financial services).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without authority and drive adoption of cost governance practices.

Additional notes:

  • This role focuses on cloud financial management and optimization and is not a transactional finance or AP/AR position.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% if needed.

Thank you for considering employment with Fiserv.  Please:
