About the role:
You'll sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and QA — translating business requirements into integration specifications and keeping system logic coherent as Salmon's product surface grows.
What you'll do:
Work across product, engineering, and QA to define and formalize how systems communicate — APIs, data flows, integration contracts.
Own documentation that engineers, QA, and support actually use: specs, use cases, data flow diagrams, API definitions.
Operate inside a microservices environment with real mobile-backend complexity: versioning, platform constraints, data synchronization across systems.
What you'll own:
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications ready for development.
Design and document integrations between internal and external systems — RESTful APIs, messaging queues, data sync.
Maintain system documentation across the full development lifecycle, from scoping to release.
Validate that delivered solutions match defined requirements during QA cycles.
Diagnose integration and system issues reported through support or QA.
Flag technical risks early — especially where mobile app behavior, API versioning, or backend changes intersect.
What makes you a strong fit:
3.5+ years as a System Analyst, or as a QA engineer or developer with demonstrated analytical ownership (specs, integration design, or system documentation).
Hands-on experience designing and documenting integrations: RESTful APIs, messaging queues, data synchronization.
Working knowledge of microservices architecture and relational or document databases.
Familiarity with mobile app development specifics: API communication, versioning, platform constraints.
English at B2 or above — sufficient for technical documentation and cross-functional communication.
