Job Description
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and seasonal patterns to project future product demand.
- Work closely with Sales for upcoming promotions, product launches, or lost accounts.
- Maintain and update statistical forecasting models in specialized planning software (Capacity Model).
- Capacity & Resource PlanningTranslate the demand forecast into required production hours, machine capacity, labor hours, and material requirements.
- Perform Load vs. Capacity assessments to identify potential factory or supply chain bottlenecks before they happen.
- Help build contingency plans for peak seasons or sudden supply disruptions.Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Actively participate in monthly S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings to align different departments on a single operational plan.
- Performance TrackingTrack and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), specifically Forecast Accuracy and Capacity Utilization rates.
- Reconcile variances where the actual output didn't match the original forecast.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Experience: Typically 1 to 4 years of experience in production scheduling, demand forecasting, or inventory planning
Technical Skills:Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas are daily essentials).
Familiarity with data visualization tools (like Power BI or Tableau) is a major plus.
