Job Description:

Responsible for in-depth knowledge of Epic system environments, change management processes, and oversight of products and services delivered by Epic Systems Corporation. This position manages Data Courier Administration, coordinating and supporting build migration, and customizing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the Enterprise Master File Infrastructure (EMFI). Additionally, this role is cross-trained in managing environment activities and Epic Environment and Domain Management strategies. In addition, this position coordinates and communicates Epic system updates, upgrades, and Nova Notes. Ensures effective implementation and maintenance of Epic system environments to support organizational goals.

  • Monitors and resolves issues related to Data Courier and EMFI to ensure system stability and performance.

  • Collaborates with the IT Change Management team to develop and manage Epic build change management processes.

  • Communicates and documents Epic environment Data Courier strategies and policies.

  • Ensures that Data Courier interfaces and protection settings align with established policies and procedures.

  • Assists with coordinating and managing Epic updates and upgrades for all environments.

  • Works with System Administrators on the installation, maintenance, and downtime of all Epic software components.

  • Provides support and training to Epic analysts on Data Courier and EMFI processes and best practices.

  • Develops and maintains documentation for Data Courier and EMFI configurations and processes.

  • Tracks and reports on the status of Data Courier and EMFI activities and issues.

  • Manages the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Data Courier and Enterprise Master File Infrastructure (EMFI) in Epic environments.

  • Oversees the migration of build changes across different Epic environments using Data Courier.

  • Coordinates with Epic analysts to ensure accurate and timely migration of build changes.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Epic environment structures and environment management [Required]

  • Understanding of Epic Content Management and Data Courier functionality and migration processes [Required]

  • Technical aptitude sufficient to learn Epic data structures and Data Courier interfaces [Required]

  • Knowledge of Epic upgrade coordination and release management practices [Required]

  • Experience with build migration coordination and support activities [Required]

  • Experience with Epic’s Sherlock and Nova applications [Required]

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills [Required]

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and timelines [Required]

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills [Required]

  • Strong attention to detail and operational follow-through [Required]

  • Analytical problem-solving skills [Required]

  • Critical thinking and logical reasoning [Required]

Education:

Field of Study:

  • in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Business, or related field

 

Work Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in Epic EMR application or systems support, technical operations, release management, or infrastructure coordination [Required]

An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement:

  • Associate's degree and 5+ years of experience as outlined above [Required]

 

Licenses and Certifications:

Pay Range:

$66,170.74 - $123,073.07
