Job Description for Executive & High Potential Development Lead

We are seeking a strategic, highly collaborative talent and leadership development professional to join the Executive & High Potential Development team. This role will help design and deliver differentiated development experiences for McKesson’s senior leaders and high-potential talent, translating enterprise priorities, LEADRx leadership expectations, business insights, and participant feedback into practical, high-impact learning experiences. The ideal candidate brings strong executive presence, exceptional communication and project leadership, sound judgment in ambiguity, and the ability to build trusted relationships across senior stakeholders, HR partners, communications, events, and learning teams. This person should be energized by creating polished, behavior-changing experiences that strengthen enterprise leadership capability, improve succession readiness, and help leaders deliver results that matter.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead communications, content development, and project management for the McKesson Leadership Call Series and executive development webinars; partner closely with McKesson Leadership Team (MLT), McKesson Enterprise Leaders (MEL), Internal Communications, and Events teams to deliver high-quality experiences that align leaders to enterprise priorities.

  • Serve as project lead for the McKesson Leadership Exchange core planning team, providing oversight of project plans, cross-functional partners, budgets, vendors, and execution to ensure an exceptional leadership experience.

  • Serve as a thought partner and coach to team members supporting executive and high-potential development programs; provide guidance, share expertise, and help elevate team capability and impact.

  • Design, develop, and coordinating high-potential development experiences aligned to enterprise strategy, leadership expectations, and organizational priorities

  • Analyze and synthesize participant feedback, assessment data, and business insights to identify development needs, measure program effectiveness, and continuously evolve content, experiences, and outcomes.

  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, compelling messages and experiences tailored for senior leader audiences.

  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders to identify emerging leadership needs, gather insights, and translate business priorities into impactful development experiences.

  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and approaches to increase efficiency, enhance participant experiences, accelerate insight generation, and continuously improve program design and delivery.

Minimum Required Skills/Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of relevant experience. Less years required if has relevant Master’s or Doctorate qualifications.

  • 2+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting Executive Development programs

  • Executive presence and organizational savvy are critical to success

  • Instructional training design/adult learning 

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to design engaging, behavior-changing learning experiences for senior leader audiences

  • Strong strategic thinking, judgment, and ability to navigate ambiguity

Additional Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in executive development, leadership development, talent management, organizational development, management consulting, executive education, or related disciplines preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CoPilot

Education:

Four-year degree and relevant experience required

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$133,900 - $223,100
