The Opportunity:
Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility with around 500 R&D engineers, specialists, and experts, who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions, new products and technology. This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore. IDC collaborates with the R&D and Research centers of Hitachi Energy, which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries. In the past 20 years, IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents. Hitachi Energy is looking to expand its R&D teams, with engineers and managers, who can take the technology to the next levels.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Ownership of the main application technology to cover protection and control of the entire power system filed.
- Responsibility to be involved and drive toward a solution for application issues or customer related issues.
- Responsibility to review technical descriptions, user documentation and make sure that the quality is granted.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:
- Required Master-/PhD- degree of science.
- Power system protection and control application functions - Programming, C-language coding. IEC standards and standardization.
- MATLAB/Simulink knowledge. Innovative and analytic. Self- driven, high ability to prioritize and deliver results on time.
- Result-orientated and have a high sense of quality awareness. Continuously learn and develop professional expertise.
- Takes personal responsibility for commitments and initiatives and acts with confidence.
- Works in a structural manner and do not neglect accuracy. Seeks opportunities to continuously improve required tasks.
- Encourages open discussion, gives, and receives constructive feedback. Shares ideas and explores other alternatives and perspectives
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
