The impact you’ll make

You will be instrumental in making Lam #1 in Customer Trust as you partner with our Account Teams to ensure that the voice of customer is reflected in GOps Quality initiatives and influence quality stakeholders across Lam to deliver results.

Success will be measured by customer satisfaction measure on quality (CXL3) for Lam’s Tier 1 customers, execution to GOps Quality L1 KPI goals, and execution of aligned customer initiatives on quality (eg ramp support, missing part reduction, FA cycle time improvement etc)

What you’ll do

  • Build collaborative partnerships with the customer account teams.
  • Advocate for the voice of the customer on product quality execution for Lam Research.
  • Lead and own the resolution of key quality issues raised by our customers. This will require collaborating with the Lam account team, customer executives, Lam executives, the product groups, and other functions within GOps.
  • Represent GOps Quality in Regional Quarterly Operations Review. Align with GOps Quality and Global Quality on regional metrics.
  • Ensure that GOps execs are prepped and up to speed when they are participating in a customer executive review or meeting with a customer.
  • Educate and clarify the GOps Quality messaging to Account Team and customers.
  • Direct customer engagements when necessary.
  • Ensure that customer quality problems are identified, priorities aligned, root cause established and solution implemented within established target cycle times.
  • Communicate to the Gops quality team on quality issues and/or trends at Lam’s key customers.
  • Role model Lam Core Values and effective utilization of Lam Management System to resolve conflict and drive results.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial, with 15 years of experience or equivalent years of experience in a similar role. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience working with customers in the semiconductor industry is a must.
  • Demonstrated experience applying advanced quality methods to improve quality and reduce variability.
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively with quality stakeholders across the company, up to and including senior leadership levels at Lam Research.
  • The ability to collaborate on cross functional teams.
  • Curious mindset, passion for quality ideas, a bias for engagement, and the ability to drive innovative changes.
  • Adept at creating and delivering effective presentations to executive staff on quality topics and/or escalations

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
