The CMC (Ceramic Matrix Composite) Center of Excellence in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven First Shift Supervisor to lead our operations technician team. This role is critical to ensuring that our manufacturing processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers.

What You Will Do:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and develop a team of operations

  •  employees on the first shift to ensure high performance and engagement.

  • Production Oversight: Coordinate daily production operations, monitor workflow, and allocate resources to meet production schedules and quality standards.

  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all work adheres to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

  • Performance Management: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), such as productivity, quality, and efficiency. Implement corrective actions as necessary to meet operational goals.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree is required with a minimum of 5yrs of experience with prior relevant in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 3 year in a supervisory role.

  • Or an advance degree with three years of experience.

  • U.S Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Advanced education or technical certifications are a plus.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.

  • Proficiency in using production management software and tools.

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or related industries.

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.

This role is:

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

 

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
