Role Purpose:

Lead Risk Policy for BharatPe's Consumer Lending portfolio, primarily covering Credit Line on

UPI and Personal Loans. The role will be responsible for designing and managing credit policy,

portfolio risk monitoring, policy governance, and risk appetite frameworks to support sustainable

business growth. Candidates with strong Credit Cards or unsecured retail lending experience will

be preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

Risk Policy

  • Own credit policy for Consumer Lending products including Credit Line on UPI and Personal Loans.
  • Review and enhance eligibility criteria, cut-offs, policy rules, and risk strategies based on portfolio performance.
  • Recommend policy changes balancing growth objectives with portfolio quality.


Portfolio Monitoring

  • Track portfolio health across acquisition, early delinquency, roll rates, vintage performance, and loss trends.
  • Identify emerging risks and recommend timely policy interventions.
  • Drive regular portfolio reviews with business and leadership teams.


Risk Appetite & Governance

  • Define and maintain portfolio-level risk appetite frameworks.
  • Ensure policy governance, documentation, approval processes, and periodic reviews.
  • Present portfolio performance, policy recommendations, and risk insights to senior leadership and lending partners.


Business Partnership

  • Partner with Business, Product, Analytics, Data Science, Operations, and Collections teams
  • Evaluate new initiatives from a risk policy perspective.


Policy Analytics

  • Use bureau insights, customer behavior, transaction data, alternate data, and portfolio
  • analytics to refine policy strategies.
  • Work closely with analytics teams on policy performance evaluation and champion/challenger testing.
