JANITORIAL CLEANER

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Janitorial Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning duties to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment across assigned facilities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the overall appearance and sanitation of the workplace, contributing to a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors.

Weekends as needed.  Overtime opportunities.

         Note: South Side Works Location

            Pay: $20.62/hour

Schedule: Thurs-Fri 3 to 11pm, Sat. 12pm to 8pm, Sun 10 am to 6pm

SALARY:  $20.62 /hr : The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position.  A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

• Maintain cleanliness of all outdoor areas, including sidewalks, parking lots, playgrounds, sports court, dog park, river front and food court.
• Remove litter, debris, and leaves daily to keep the site safe and inviting
• Clean windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces
• Operate and maintain outdoor cleaning equipment such as power washers, leaf blowers, and sweepers to maintain high-traffic areas to keep them safe and visually appealing
• Support special events with janitorial needs.
• Collaborate with the facilities team to ensure the entire site meets cleanliness and safety standards.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors and surfaces.
• Clean, sanitize and replenish supplies in public restrooms daily and provide additional services to maintain standards in ABM serviced buildings.
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.
• Provide friendly, courteous assistance to guests when approached, embodying our commitment to hospitality.

Required:

• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and remain active throughout your shift.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
• Willingness to operate basic cleaning equipment such as power washers, blowers, or sweepers (training provided).
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
